The big news at the Dillner camp in the NICU is that the boys are ready to begin being bottle fed or going to the breast. They will probably start with two feedings a day with a bottle or at the breast. The nurses in the NICU like to reserve those feedings for mom and dad. So while Crystal is here, she will take me up to the hospital for a morning feeding, and then in the evening David and I will visit in the evening at their feeding times and feed them. After Crystal leaves I will try to find rides to the hospital for the morning feedings until I have been cleared to drive.
Otherwise both boys had a good Sunday, both putting on an ounce. Thomas is at 3 lbs 6 oz and Michael is at 3 lbs 8 oz. They are also adding calories to their feedings. I can't remember what the nurse call what they were adding in, but for example an ounce of breast milk has 20 calories, with what they are adding the feeding will have 22 calories. They are doing this in an effort to bulk the boys up.
I am continuing to feel better everyday. It is getting easier to stand up and sit down. I am also finding that I can walk a little bit faster.
