Meet the Dillner Boys

David and Jennifer Dillner announce the arrival of their newest additions to their family. Thomas David Dillner was born at 9:32 am EST and Michael James Dillner was born at 9:33 am EST at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. Thomas weighs 3 pounds, 15 ounces and Michael weighs 3 pounds, 8 ounces. Both are spending some time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit until they are ready to go home. Usually, the actual due is used to estimate when the babies will be able to go home, but each baby is different, so it could be sooner. The boys' original due date was August 13, 2006.

Both boys are doing well, and their vitals signs are good. Michael had some difficultly breathing at first, but he has been doing much better since delivery. The heart rates are great and breathing is pretty stable. The medical staff is watching over them to make sure that they continue to improve.

Jenny is also doing well recovering. She has started to eat a liquid diet and may start eating solid foods tomorrow morning. She hasn't seen the babies yet, but is eager to hold them. She did an excellent job in the operation. The doctor says that they will probably keep her for another couple of days to monitor her progress.

David and Jenny would like to especially thank the doctors, nurses and medical staff that helped bring Thomas and Michael into the world. They did a great job to ease our worries, and they continue to do a great job assisting the twins development. Hopefully we will be able to take them home sooner because of their hard work.
